We look forward to meeting the 2009 North and South Bound Hikers.  We will pick you up at the trail.  Hikers favorite spot for pick-up.. The Bellvale Creamery  Rt. 17A overlooking the Warwick Valley.  There is a trail before the creamery down to Greenwood Lake, it is steep and you miss out on a great ice-cream.   Call us at 1(800)754-8935 or 1(845)477-0010. We welcome advance bookings.  Changes to your bookings can be made without a cancellation fee.

Special through hiker and long section hiker walk-in rate $80.00 Sunday through Thursday. (breakfast additional $5.00pp with hiker rate) This is our family room with two double beds and private bathroom.  If you prefer a King bed with a double whirlpool or another room type we offer you a 20% off our regular room rates during the week and 10% off on Week-ends. See our rooms & rates   Week-end rates less 10% for hikers off all room rates.

Free pick-up and delivery back to the trail most times.  Slack packing free from Anton's to Bear Mountain Bridge, NY or Vernon, NJ trail heads. We charge a small fee after Bear Mountain Bridge. We have slack packed as far as Kent Falls CT recently drove Janice and Greg back to Harrisburg PA.

We offer a free laundry service (not tents or sleeping bags)  available from 3pm to 8pm, or by arrangement.   We accept bounce packages.  Please use UPS we do not have local mail delivery. If you prefer the US postal service please arrange for your package to be held at the Greenwood Lake post office. We are in the village of Greenwood Lake, walking distance to post office, library, CVS, Hardware store, Bakeries, stores, restaurants and the town beach.  Short walk to local bus to NYC, drops you off right in Times Square.  Visit the big apple for a day.  Bus to NYC

Slack packed Mary from The Creamery 17A northbound to 17 Harriman State Park  trail head.  Stayed with us two nights

May 13th, 2009

Mary met up with Fred and his companion. Northbound  through the lemon squeezer today.  Fred finished the trail at Antons last year and returned to continue on.

 

 Janice & Greg arrived on the 12th. section hiked northbound  from Harrisburg PA.  Received news that Grand baby was due.  Robert and I drove them back to to Harrisburg.PA.  Have only 370 miles left to complete the trail.. they will be back to Antons in the Fall. 

 

Grandma La La and quilter arrived for what turned out to be a a four day stay.

 

May 14th.  Slack packed Grandma La La and quilter to Warwick Turnpike, Wawayanda State Park, NJ trail head this morning. They hiked to 17A Bellvale Creamery.  Extended stay to 3 nights

Two more section hikers arrived today on their way to Mass.     May 15th 2009  The two northbound hikers left today.  Grandma La La and Quilter hiked from the Creamery to Rt. 17 Harriman entrance.

 

May 16th 2009 Grandma La La and Quilter continued on Northbound.

May 17th 2009 Grandma La La and Quilter made it to the Bear Mountain bridge and finished their section for this Spring.. Enjoyed their company for four days.
